Pousada Graciosa - Morretes
Mirian & Curt
Several years ago, Curt and Mirian took the train together from Curitiba down to Morretes. It was a beautiful sunny day, and they instantly fell in love with the place. While gazing at Nhundiaquara River as it lazily wandered through Morretes, they looked at each other and said, "We should live here."
Although Curt was born in New Orleans, he had always had a special love of the mountains and enjoyed the quiet life of the countryside, even while living and working in modern cities. As a Veterinary Pathologist, he worked for universities and big pharmaceutical companies in the U.S., but now he has left that life behind to pursue his first loves - spending time playing chef in the kitchen and helping mother nature perform her miracles in the garden. Guests at Graciosa can delight their taste buds and eyes taking advantage of Curt's skills in both fields.
Mirian is Brazilian, born in Paraná. Her hometown is Cascavel - a big modern city in the west of the State. She graduated in Agricultural Engineering and has always been a lover of nature. Her greatest dream was to live in the "woods" in a "cabin," far from the crowds and the noises of city life. For her, Graciosa is a dream come true. She is the one who welcomes the visitors and, just like every homemaker, assures the house and all the bungalows are cosy, perfectly appointed, and always ready to accommodate the guests and friends of Graciosa.
For Curt and Mirian, Graciosa is their home - their little piece of paradise nestled in the heart of the Atlantic Rain Forest. It is their pleasure to share their home and their dream with nature lovers everywhere.
